A Project of the Working Group for a Grassroots Movement

The Working Group for a Grassroots Movement (WGGM) is involved in food access work because we believe access to decent, healthy food stands alongside housing, education, and safety as fundamental and undeniable human rights. WGGM is involved in this work because we believe communities, when organized, have the power to demand justice, and that food justice is an integral part of a broader struggle to end oppression. The Food Justice Collaborative currently runs a garden at the Cecil B. Moore Recreation Center in North Philadelphia.
